John is a North Carolina native from Fayetteville, NC and has made his home in Asheville NC. John grew up listening to all types of music from early country to the billboards hits of the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and the 80’s. Music has always been a huge part of his life from studying the greats and their influences, to playing and being able to experience the scenes that encompass the many music genres that have been formed and were able to be built and spread upon. John’s passion for Widespread Panic began in the late 80’s to early 90’s. When many bands were branching out to a more progressive/grunge sound or a hair band ideology John noticed the sound Widespread Panic was releasing was different. From live performances and out of the studio there resonated a love and a feel that no other musical artist has been able to produce for him. The art and the ability to produce a live show to a top notch standard with the focus of it being the best it could be. This is where John’s love of Widespread Panic began and still continues. John has seen Panic at some of the best rated venues across country and he has experienced the highs and lows of the band along with the many other Spreadheads out there. John’s knowledge of the musicianship and style of Widespread Panic will capture the novice and hold the hard core tour savage alike.

The Temple of Panic is here to share the experience of something old and something new, to hold up the idea that great music still exists. The song doesn’t always remain the same….
